Alex Sheridan has no memories of life before the age of 7, when he emerged
from the sea on the coast of modern Greece. Scarred and scared, Alex was adopted
by an American family but knew he was very different from others when he discovered that he not only had unusual powers, but he also had powerful dreams; visions that were not his own, yet were somehow a part of him.

Alex is an illustrated man. The scars on his body, which he’s had styled into intricate tattoos, tell an ancient story and reveal a past life that ended in sacrifice, murder, and betrayal. It is a story that belongs to another, a boy who’d died many centuries earlier in Ancient Greece at Apollo’s temple at Delphi. The boy is sacrificed in the name of greed by a priest who lusts for the power of the Oracle, but he’s spared by Apollo and ascends with the gods to live under their protection for fifty lifetimes before returning to fulfill his destiny.

A directive given by Alex’s murdered lover just before he dies, sends Alex to Greece where he begins to unravel the mysteries surrounding himself and his past – a past that may only be able to be deciphered by one man, Luke MacKinnon, an American professor who is an expert in the history and language of Ancient Greece, and a man whom Alex had met only very briefly a short time before.

Luke is a self professed daydreamer whose life is “anything but normal.” He is dedicated to a field of work that sometimes removes him from his own world and leads him into an ancient past that leaves him little time to connect with anyone but his students. When he’s contacted by the US military to assist them in finding a powerful weapon that was prophesied to exist, Luke finds that the key to its discovery lies in decoding the mystery of “the painted man.” When he discovers that he is a part of that ancient prophesy, his connection to Alex becomes an unbreakable bond that propels them both into danger.

I can not believe this… I don't know what to say…someone pinch me because I think I am dreaming…

Oracle is a story whose roots are planted firmly in Greek Mythology. The characters are drawn from both mythology and the contemporary, and each had an important role to play in the exposition of the plot. Alex and Luke were strong protagonists, and the bond they were fated to share was deeply compelling and authentic.

The book explores the concept of life and relationships controlled by fate and how life is directed when destiny, rather than free will, controls the paths taken. From the introduction to the conclusion, the plot held my attention with a blend of romance, suspense, conflict, and action.

The climax of the story and its resolution were emotionally satisfying and well developed. The story, as a whole, was well paced and tautly written.

Seriously, can this writing journey I am on get any damn better?

Deefur, Scribble and the Great Dildo Incident

Just a short coffee break story that i found from way back and rewrote… PWP…which morphs into humor and angst… http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/241112-deefur-scribble-and-the-great-dildo-incident

Pirates – Am now on Astatalk *I have arrived*

Is it wrong to have a wry smile when you see you have been pirated on Astatalk? Futhermore – to get a rating of 9? ROFL…

Now that 9 could mean anything (9 idiots, 9 pirates, 9 out 20 ROFL)…but whatever…it made me smile!

I am also on a couple of other places, and I find myself not feeling cross, but flattered. Of course I want them taken down. Every book downloaded for free clearly f***s me AND Silver publishing, but there is an inevitability around people wanting to steal our work and I can either accept or moan. Sighs…

I have heard stories on both the Silver and Dreamspinner authors site, of people pirated within minutes of publishing, and of pirates actually approaching the authors for release dates! I'm lucky Oracle stayed off of Astatalk for a week then, but being a new author I guess that can be explained away by the anonimity of my name. God help Moments when that comes out now!

Silver and Dreamspinner both have processes in place to deal with all of this pirating, and they both work damn hard to sort it, but I think it is a losing battle for all of us.

Meanwhile I have decided to take the *well people must want to read it* path to dealing with this, because if I didn't then I may go crazy and spend more time haunting these sites than actually writing!

A good news week… My first ever review…

Wow, i have had a *brilliant* week…

Oracle came out on Saturday, and I finally came down off of my high around about Monday!

Today I had my first ever review on Goodreads. http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/116141243, a 4 and the words

Wow, I really liked this one!! I started to read and couldn't stop. The suspense kept me fascinated till the end. I don't want to tell to much, but not only Alex and Luke are a great couple, but also Chris and Griff. Really good!!

Silver have contracted my Christmas book *The Christmas Throwaway* for December 18th release.

My writer friends -  Diane Adams has launched her new blog and Sue Brown has had two stories accepted this week, one with DS and one with Silver. The three of us have a project in the pipeline that is very exciting. Watch this space…

And i give you a picture which is both YUM and OOHH CAREFUL…

Excerpt:

He was muttering almost incoherently at the extremes of pleasure winding through his body, as hot as fire, as Darin concentrated those tiny sucking bites and kitten licks on each nipple in turn, moving his hard body over Connor with insistent pushes and sinuous twists. Connor moved his hands until they rested on Darin’s hard biceps, and he realized he was feeling the muscles move under the skin as the huge man forced his upper body up and away to move his mouth farther down. Darin kissed a trail to the spur of Connor’s hip, sucking small marks into each; his breath was hot on sensitive skin, and he avoided the one place Connor really wanted that made-for-sin mouth.

Connor keened for the touch, but a single command from Rob, “not yet,” made Darin avoid it, using his hand instead, circling Connor’s hard dick firmly, moving up and over him, smoothing a thumb through the pre come that collected at the tip, humming appreciatively as Connor started to beg. He moved to the left, biting and sucking at Connor’s inner thigh, and Connor moved his head to see Rob, to find out what the man with the careful gaze was doing. Rob was sitting back in the chair, looking blissed out, his hand on his own dick, stripping it in slow, steady movements, his eyes focused on the journey Darin’s mouth was taking.

Connor turned back to Darin, whispering “Please, please,” and then Rob’s soft voice, a growl, a hissed command: “Darin, suck him.”

Two Plus One by RJ Scott – an excerpt

The beer was cold and, as far as Connor was concerned, that was the start of a good night. He had finally been escorted back to his hotel by an over compensating Jim, who on the instructions of someone, was told to take Connor back to his motel, clear the bill and pass over some signed pictures. He had them in his room. Rob perfect Kelly in a classic villain pose, pouting and moody, his sapphire eyes serious, and Darin jeez hot Ramírez, hands spread on a wall, a black T-shirt pulled tight over his muscles, his intense 'come on try it' hero pose giving Connor an instant hard on. Fuck. That photo–so bloody hot. Ever since it had hit his in-box from a friend it had given him the shivers, and he imagined just falling to his knees and–

"Hey," someone knocked his arm and he winced, looking up with a carefully blank expression on his face to find the man of his lustful wishful thinking standing next to him. Darin Ramírez juggling four beers, a cap pulled low over his eyes. Connor knew this was a bar that the actors from the lot visited, it was his last ditch attempt at maybe passing a newly printed copy of the script over, but he never expected to see the man again.

"Hey," great conversation starter and then his brain stopped.

"How are you? Did the medic look you over?" Darin actually looked interested, like it may be important to him to find out what had happened to the dork that tried to kill himself earlier on in the day.

"Yeah, just bruises to the pride, thanks," Connor was ridiculously proud of his response, at both not dribbling and slurring his words in embarrassment.

"Come sit with us man, let me get you a beer, by way of apologizing for the screaming fan girls who tried to kill you."

"You don’t need to, I’m fine I -"

"No argument, come on, meet Rob."

"Rob?" Jeez, Rob hottest bad guy on TV Kelly? That Rob?

Darin frowned, the guy had been standing at the gate for the 'End Game' set, "Rob, Rob Kelly, I mean, you are a fan of Game? Or maybe -"

"No, I know who he is, I mean, I–" then his voice tailed off and he just shrugged, aware he was probably bright red.

Darin chuckled, "Come on, bring your beer," and then he started moving through the people around the bar, who for the most part ignored him. Connor followed, seeing people just move out of the way of the man in front of him. For the first time in his life Connor felt small, six one is never small, he was always bigger than his boyfriends, bigger, taller, wider, stronger. Despite being an inch or so shorter than Connor, meeting Darin in the flesh — well, he realized it was the first time someone shorter than him had a larger presences in the room. He just seemed so damned confident, so self assured, and so built. Strong. The thought of a man who could manhandle Connor for a change? Jeez, was it hot in here?

They ended up at a table in the corner in the shadows, and Connor sat down opposite a sleepy Rob Kelly who had his head laid back against the wall his eyes closed, Darin slid in next to his co star, placing beers in front of them. Rob mumbled something, his head sliding to rest of Darin’s shoulder, turning his face slightly and touching his lips to the bare skin of Darin’s neck.

Connor watched in fascination as Darin simply chuckled softly and moved his shoulder pushing Rob awake, "company" he said softly and Rob sat upright blinking. Connor was lost for words; Rob Kelly was quite possibly the most perfect specimen of man that Connor had ever seen. So damn pretty, with his pale skin, short near-black hair, beautiful pouting lips and eyes framed with long sooty eyelashes. Eyes so blue they looked nearly unreal. Even so, it was actually Darin that Connor found himself unconsciously staring at. Darin wasn’t perfect, he was interesting, quirky, laughing, sexy, horny, strong, just the very man of Rob’s fantasies. Connor caught Rob smirking at his new-guy-to-meeting-Darin-in-the-flesh preoccupation and then leaned back against Darin again.
